Bio - Pati Robinson, Casting Director

In 1989, after several years experience as a talent booker at 'The Ageny' in Minneapolis and then, opening and managing the Orlando office of the 'Ada Gordon Talent' agency, Pati Robinson began her casting career when she was hired to cast a commercial at Disney/MGM Studios.

Pati’s experience and professionalism impressed producers so, when the show 'Divorce Court' moved production from LA to Orlando, and needed a casting director, those same producers recommended Pati.

Shooting 320 episodes, 5 shows a day, each with an average cast of 8, 'Divorce Court' was a rigorous training ground. Due to the high pace of production, there was no time for traditional casting sessions, so it became the responsibility of the casting director to not only cast, but also to select and book all the talent for the season.

The show's casting needs were so demanding, two casting directors were needed to get the job done.  Pati cast 180 episodes and Mel Johnson, who had been an LA-based casting director before being relocated to Orlando by Universal Studios, was hired to cast the remaining 150.

They worked so well together that Pati and Mel decided to continue to partner together on several other series, including 'Super Force' (45 episodes/Viacom) and 'Swamp Thing' (10 episodes/Universal).

Afterwards, Pati continued her casting relationship with Viacom, Universal and Disney. As word of her abilities and professionalism spread, she added many new clients and bigger projects to her resume.

Since then, she has cast more than 400 episodes of series television, many pilots and specials, feature films of all budget levels and well over 1,000 commercials.

Pati has built a great reputation by always delivering more than expected. Even when brought on a project at the last minute to replace other casting directors, she has gone above and beyond to get the job done... and she has yet to disappoint.
